Winter has lost it's glamour; it's old, it's cold. The past few days I've been out trying to chop through the several inches of solid ice in the drive; who needs that?

They look cold but that one of the tree is very good with the contrast of the snow and dark coloured bark. It looks like each branch is divided in two.

And I love the last one of the snow mounted up on the steps - and even the rails! (And unspoilt by footsteps). I guess you might need gloves to hold onto the rails or risk being stuck to the metal :P

I think that it's just used as a fire escape; I wouldn't want to try those steps if I didn't have too.
