Snowed again last night, i don't know what happened, until three weeks ago we were having a mild winter. Now it's a different game. Yesterday was messy with temps close to thirty and lots of wet snow. I got out of work at 3:30 AM and it was colder (20') and had snowed several more inches. I got up at 7 AM to clear the drive so #1daughter&son can get out the drive - 'harry has left an hour earlier but her vehicle can get through it - but by now the temperature has dropped to 3'! So I saw a sunrise for the first time in a long time, i didn't evaporate or anything; it was nice.

But the pictures i wanted to show

On facebook i asked which shot people liked best and opinion leaned toward the 2nd. Also some detective work was going on and faded lettering was spied on the bricks.

Nice red brick building photos - I don't want to try and choose a favorite. I love that warm red brick color next to the snowy black and white of the trees. Nice compositions.

I'd go with liking the second photo a little bit more. But ohhhh, that red brick....astounding color!

Maybe if i could move the tree in the 2nd to where the tree in the first is? Yeah the red is great!

I see wood henge!

It is mighty cold where you are.

And what a nice person you are to get up in the middle of your sleep to shovel snow.

Yes wood henge is hanging in there, it's become a sort of fixture.

I am nice, though I used the snow blower, my back can't take the shoveling like it once did!

The snow blower would be easier, that's for sure. Still shovelling here, but soil, so pretty heavy. Sometimes I hurt my back but I seem to heal up and strengthen up and be able to do it again. I'm pretty tall, that doesn't help.

I prefer the first red brick wall - it is clearly an image of a red brick wall. (bricks rule) The tree provides a nice balance of thirds. The bottom one is about the tree and the door not the red brick wall. They are both nice though. :)

The first shot was my original intent; drove by the day before and saw the shot. i'm always working on my thirds!

Always thanks.

All beautiful. I do especially like #3.

Sure is a lot of uninterrupted brick. Looks like it could use a seismic retrofit.

P.S. I like all the colors together-- the deep, luminescent blue, the warm red and powdery white.

That wall does look like it's been through a mash up.

Thanks!
