Old Brick building, Wellington Ohio. July 2012.

Not a great picture, but a wonderful side of a building. How many different batches of bricks, how many times have a section of morter been re-pointed.?

That is a really interesting brick wall - (at least to another brick person) - Do you think they rebuilt the newer section of the wall? Did if fall down once? Was there another building attached there? Interesting to speculate. I have a new brick image for you too - old (very old) bricks from a pathway on an island up here that was a lime quarry. I'll post it later today.

I know, it looks like a couple different jigsaw puzzles were smashed together.

I love those bricks and the clues to the past that they give.

Lots of history there! I like how some of the mortar has been re-done. It looks like more might be needed in other sections, too. I like the bars on the bottom windows, too. They look pretty old to me.
