We seem to be in the eye of the storm at the moment. A winter storm started with rain all day Monday, with temperatures dropping through the hours. It slowly converted to a heavy snow and now around 2:00 AM it has mostly stopped but, the forecasters are adding up to 12" by Wednesday morning. After i got home at two I walked around and listened to tree branches snapping in the distance from the weight of the snow. I also surprised the outside cat in my barn and got her some food to stay warm with. I cut a hole in the barn a couple months ago in hope that she would go in there in case she needed to doge coyotes but, she was just hanging out inside.
Thanksgiving was quiet. My son came over with his girlfriend; i wouldn't be surprised if there is an engagement sometime in the future. My daughter seemed ok, celebrating the holiday alone. We just got a turkey breast and baked it in the crock pot with stuffing underneath; the stuffing tasted like it had been in the bird, very good!
Someone down the street painted their house black in the past couple months - i'm irked, i've been thinking about this for years but between not being sure if it would be a huge mistake and the fact that painting a house is lot of work; i delayed, now someone got to it first.
