Maybe, an ice storm-let. There is never a light icing, any ice storm is bad.

Somehow, our doom and gloom weather people missed this one. They spoke of a possibility of freezing rain, but that implies not much acumualtion. I haven't heard of any wires down anywhere but this is bad enough; the cars are frozen shut, so is the bird feeder! I tried opening it, but only cracked it, i dumped the birdseed on the ground and now i'm only feeding a fat squirrel.

EDIT: I guess looking at the news, some 80,000 have been without power.

'harry came down with the flu Friday night, she had a miserable weekend; she was able to keep some dinner down last night and went to work today.

#1daughter scored a "1" in the annual regional string contest over the weekend. This is her last contest because she is a senior. She, like #1son are not musical geniuses, but they are both very good, and care not a bit for it. I doubt either of them will ever pick up their instruments again after they finish school. #1son participated in one contest and pledged never to do it again.

It looks pretty anyway! Strange that your children don't enjoy music more when they are good at it.

May I forward these to a friend? I was trying to describe to her what an ice storm does. They're beautiful BTW.

Oh goodness, I've never seen anything like this. Car doors and the bird feeder stuck shut? I'd never though about that. Ugh!

I'm sorry 'harry spent a miserable weekend. I hope she is better soon.

Is a "1" a top score? Congratulations to your daughter. Though both your son and your daughter may not continue their musical education after school they may pick their instruments up later in life as a hobby. Also, it will have been good for their brain development in their formative yours, so you and 'harry have not wasted your time. I know you will be sad about this, though, because you have musical appreciation and perhaps could have been a musician in another life.

Yeah, 'harry is on the road to recovery! Thanks.

I'm hoping they'll pick it up again someday. My grandmother was very musical, after that it kind of left the family.
