I can buy compact fluorescent bulbs at 10 for $10.00 up the street! Can you think of a better way to give energy conservation a black eye, then have the power company make huge profits off it.

We've had rate hikes before when consumption went down - on electricity and water. Kick in the teeth huh.

Those CF bulbs are not that green either - try to get rid of one. They are full of mercury.

Remember when they wanted everybody's old mercury thermometers? Now here is a complete 180 turn. I am hoping the LED bulb will be perfected, it uses even less electricity and is, i believe, much safer.

Proof that the world really is going crazy. I would be angry if I was you, too. And I bet they don't last 7 years. I'm lucky to get 1-2 years from the bulbs installed here.

By the same logic, they could drop off a $1000.00 energy efficient refrigerator, at our door and charge us $3000.00!
