I woke today knowing I'd have to go to the bank the get money to buy some gas for the snow blower because we are supposed to be getting a measureable amount of snow. I tried to put the gas can in the trunk but the trunk is still froze shut from the glaze of ice we got a couple days ago. Gas can up front, I drove to the bank; had to go inside because, the window will not roll down - also frozen. Done at bank, I head back to gas station, and buy my gas; I try the trunk again, almost get it but, it will not open. I sit down inside car - OH! I 've bent my key trying to open the trunk. I'm almost ready to call home for help, when I get the key into the ignition and start the car. At home, the lock to open the almost-a-barn is also frozen shut; I get a lighter and thaw the lock out, while setting my gloves on fire only a couple of times.
Lights in my car tell me that the doors are not shut because they have ice in them; i have to watch that the over head light does not remain on when i get out of the car. It is 20 degrees now, it's not supposed to go above freezing until possibly a brief moment Saturday, so everything will remain froze.

I know - wah! wah! wah! Except the $40 for a new car key, that really is a Wah!

Feeling much better though, aches and pains are gone, just a solid head and chest cold - I can live with that.
