No apologies this year; it seems the Christmas season has started. It's not just the stores but some folks already have their decorations up and running; which can be a stark contrast to those who still have pumpkin lights and witches on their front lawns. I admit that i put up a string of lights on our second story peak because the weather was warm, but i'm not turning it on until sometime next month.

I have four pie pumpkins this year, i'm waiting for the fourth one to ripen. I found a quicker way to cook pumpkin is to boil it instead of baking in the oven. I'm sure some nutrients are lost in the boiling, but if you save the pot liquor you can use that for something.

I finally got around to transplanting some daffodil bulbs yesterday. I found that it has been so warm that the bulbs are sending up shoots that are just now, breaking the surface. This can't be good for the flowers next year?

That's about it..

U.S. residents fight for the right to hang laundry
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20091118/us_nm/us_usa_laundry

Being in charge of, most, of the laundry in the house, i've always hung it outside as long as weather permits. One of the most spacey, touchy feely, bleeding heart, liberals we know, once suggested that it was a little trashy to hang out the laundry -hypocrite! I've always done it to save money and second the planet. I don't hang 'harrys underwear out but if you don't want to look at my boxers, close your eyes!

This just reinforces my belief that home-owners associations are pure evil. I've told my children: "Never buy a house goverened by an association!"
