I found and buried my outdoor cat today. We got a lot of snow today and i had to clear the drive. When i put the snow blower away, i checked on the catnest in the barn and found my sweet little cat dead. She had been mauled by i presume, a coyote. There was no blood; she must have been dead or as close to dead as you can be, when she crawled into her safe spot. I found out that the snow insulates the ground and i could actually dig a grave for her in her favorite spot behind the house. I sobbed and wept today.

Thank you, poor girl, she had to be 15; fiinally lost the odds. The past few days she had been eating less so, i was worried as i've worried so many times before. Maybe she finally lost her edge; just wish she could have fallen asleep om a warm day.
I looked out the window for her so many times today, half forgetting, half wondering, if she had pulled another fast one on me and would be causually waiting for some food and fresh unfrozen water.
