Remember the poison ivy: http://beoj.livejournal.com/60441.html#cutid1 ?
It has grown, i've got some trailing up under a kitchen window too. Probably an iressponsible thing to do - a little bit Addams Family too.

Under the weed; one mistep and weeks of itching. I've learned to be aware of it and as soon as i make contact i run in and grab my bar of Fells-Naptha Soap and scrub away. It works! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fels-Naptha

I'm itching looking at that... are you getting rid of it?

I remember your post about it very well! That is so cool looking, the way it just starts growing in "mid barn," but please be careful. Maybe you should put up a sign nearby warning visitors about it--like an ID sign. Thanks for the update about it.

Too bad it's actually such a beautiful plant!

The vine climbing the house has got to go, this one, i don't know. It starts six feet off the ground, out of range of most children and there aren't any children around anyway.

I don't know maybe i should claim ignorance for anyone lurking around behind the place.

Wow, you actually are letting this stuff grow around your place?

Yeah, it looks pretty...but...

Is it any worse than stinging nettle?

From: [identity profile] nodressrehersal.livejournal.com

I'd be terrified to let that stuff grow around my house. I can't decide if you're brave, or have a titch of mean streak goin' on there, joebanks!

Never been stung by a nettle.

But i'm sure neither is fun.

Google it if you want t at look at gross pictures.

I'm the only one who seems to get it. I admit it is pure neglect to let it grow on the house.

I don't want to look at gross pics, but it has a reputation. Was it you are Stephen King talked about him and his brother playing in the woods near their house, and his brother had to 'go' in a hurry and accidentally wiped his butt with Poison Ivy?

Hehe, what a compliment being compared to Stephen King :) :) :)

That's funny, but where are my millions! No, that didn't happen in my family (glad too!)

My mom used to keep that soap around. I had no idea it was good for Poison Ivy. Of course, when I was a kid I never got it.

Yeah, you should get your millions :P

Glad it didn't happen to your brother!

I just realized I forgot to come back and say how scary this is. And PINK MAKES EVERYTHING EXTRA-SCARY.

I'm highly pro-weed, but even I wouldn't let this stuff get established. I assume it not only grows but reproduces.

Joe anon here. It is all over the yard now, as you can see the vine travels but somehow the berries must get eatin and spread.
