Lighthouse at Westport, Grays Harbor, WA - cost $56,000 (http://www.us-lighthouses.com/displaypage.php?LightID=271) in 1897. It is an entire complex - and I wonder if the fact it is an ocean light house matters to the lens power, size etc. This one came with fog warning systems too.

I don't know, if it was orginally designed to be more powerful. The 1820's there weren't to many options.

Lighthouses are pretty cool. Yes I took that picture - I liked the colors. They struck me as very New England - long way from there though. : )
