A gamble, that's what it is. It's sunny, about 45 and windy. I could go outside and transplant daffodils; dig up that cold wet earth, while chill gusts blow in my face; or i could wait to the weekend when it is supposed to approach 60; though by that time it may be raining.

Another unpleasent task involves my money pit of a 126 year old house. This:

Is the crawl space under the front of the house.
I recently crawled into here to wrap duct insulation around the furnace duct and yes, that is asbestos warp already in place, that the previous owners installed. The pink fiberglass insultion is falling, because it was installed wrong way up, and moisture build up has destroyed that backing. So that needs to be replaced too. I don't usually get claustophobic but lying here with 18" of space, the falling insulation, dead spiders and two stories of house above me, i get a little squeamish. Why do spiders love places like this, there are nothing but other spiders here?

Regulators Give FirstEnergy Until Nov. 30 For New Bulb Program

They have to find some way to stiff us for the four million bulbs that are in storage somewhere. And then charge us for using less electricity, because they gave us, are going to sell us, the bulbs.
