We are under two (three, if you count the gale warning on the lake) weather warnings at the moment. A wind warning with sustained winds of 30 mph with possible gusts of 50 to 60. And a winter storm warning, where after the temperatures drop nearly 40 degrees by morning, we could have driving snow and whatever else.

I'll take a foot and a half of snow over an ice storm.

The storm ran further north than expected, so the temps were well above zero and the precipitation more wet than frozen. Less bad, and agree with your sentiment 💯.

It was gusty, temperature was 35 degrees lower 24 hours later. Lots of small power outages in the area. We had twigs down, that's about it. the trees have been cleansed of weak branches so many times in the past few years. Still consider myself lucky.
If you want you can search Lake Erie Seiche and see photos and video of how the western end of Lake Erie was exposed because winds had pushed the water to the eastern end of the lake.
