So here's one. Since last summer, i've posted on facebook maybe a half dozen times. My daughter's birthday, the cat passing away etc. The only reason i go there anymore is to stay in touch with family and a couple lj refugees. I can't stand seeing my white, nationalist, niece's political posts but, she's family.
Anyway, Thursday i notice a friend request from "Bob" the poacher. Even my wife said "Sounds like Bob wants to know more about your relationship with Kathleen". I determined that i was going to approve this because it's time i see what there is to see, if anything. I checked with Kathleen first because i don't want her to think this is going on behind her back. She asked him about it and she's ok with it. I'll wait a couple months and block him because this man is a stranger to me and maybe my arch enemy too.
It was nice when i had other things to talk about; this has all changed me and i hope to get out the other side.

The spam crazy people on both sides of the political spectrum was one of the worst things about Facebook. Among many. People I could tolerate, or even had some affection for in real life--Facebook was making me loath them.
