By a yardstick on top of my daughter's car, we had 12 or 13" of snow. Since it is so warm the snow is very thick and heavy; if it was cold we might have had another foot of it. As it is I go outside and see large tree branches snapping under the weight. Our power could go out at any time from a downed wire. As it is, for some reason our phone service has been out since yesterday. The website says it's a fairly large outage, so maybe it will get more attention.
So I'm dealing with the world through my phone and making sure it's charged all the time.
And, if you're wondering, virtual schools have snow days too! My daughter did not teach yesterday and won't today because some of her students are without electricity.

I'll always remember my astonishment when I first heard about "snow days." :) I'm glad to hear nothing's interfering with a great tradition.

Except for one tiny splash of rain-- like five minutes-- we've been precipitation-free all season. It makes for a beautiful Fall, but the consequences... Just one more horrible thing.

'Hope you're melted out by now.
