I stepped out the door to run some errands, a little after noon yesterday. Once again i almost jumped out of my skin, because there were "my" turkeys! I ran back in grabbed the camera and snuck up on them.
That's me gasping, hoping they won't move, huddled from the storm.

This didn't seem possible, you can't sneak up on a turkey; they are supposed to be the most cagey of game birds.

The Mrs. sauntered around the car, Thom scratched himself.

The Mrs. finally realized something was up and skittered off, followed by her mate.

Secondly, how come those turkeys haven't ended up on a Thanksgiving Table?
Thirdly, do you always leave your vehicle out in the weather, and if so, how does this go with starting it up in the early hours of the morning?
I have been reading but not commenting of late. Hope you are now fully recovered.

Aww, they are to cute in their ugliness to eat.
Yes, we do not have a garage to park in, but it would be just as cold. If the battery is good, cars generally don't start to get cranky until it's down around 0 Fahrenheit.
Seem well. Thanks!

Great capture - you managed to get that close because the turkeys were looking at their reflections in the car! More turkeys were far more interesting than you. I hope they don't decide to peck at the reflection turkey - dent your car door.
