Finally we have oppressive tropical heat and humidity above 70%! It's uncomfortable, but it's the way summer should be. We've had heavy storms and all sorts of fun.
I had my best harvest in the garden today with a meals worth of snow peas and green beans also a couple sad sized, Roma tomatoes and a tiny eggplant. The tag said the eggplant could yield as many 40 of these finger sized fruit, but there are only three and no more blossoms.
Soon i need to plant a second batch of peas, lettuce and spinach for the cooler weather days ahead (sigh).
Clear skies tonight?Time to get out and watch the Pereid's: http://www.meteorshowersonline.com/perseids.html I don't know what luck we'll have since the city lights are to the north; but it's worth a look.

How did people ever survive when they had to depend 100% on their own crops? Anyway, I would have died.

I'm kind of glad now I didn't plant tomatoes, becuase then the cool weather in July would have been agonizing.
