How can you live with someone for over 30 years and one day over dinner at a restaurant, mention Walden by Thoreau and get a blank stare? It's not the fact that she's never heard of Thoreau, why haven't i talked about it myself. When we got home I brought out three volumes the author; at one time i had at least two more.
