the picture that got away..

Yesterday after I took the snow pictures, I drove on through the park toward home. Rounding a bend I saw a pool of green in the snow, a couple hundred feet off the road. I pulled off at the nearest place I could find and walked 1000 feet back to the spot. An old part of the river channel still filled with spring flooding already had a pale green skim of slime that shown against the surrounding snow. The upright branches poking through the water were also covered with snow. I aimed my shot and it turned out that the battery of my take everywhere camera died on the last shots I took ten minuets before. ( Read more... )
