It's been five days since anyone has seen our nameless cat. Five days in summer is not such a big deal but never more than three in winter. Maybe i'm hitting "panic" too soon but i feel like she's already gone. Five years, almost everyday she shows up, patiently waiting for her dinner and some fresh, thawed water. Monday she and i had had a short conversation while i poured her food, that was the last. We were the only living things she interacted with, other than what she hunted. She never had a litter; always ran from other cats, male or female. That was her survival mechanism; "RUN!" and it worked for a long time.
