One thing i never have to worry about when i invite mom over for thanksgiving, or most other holidays, is has she been invited to my brother's. Now Christmas is different, she spends the morning at my brother's then comes over to visit.
Had some snow on the ground, for a few hours.
If i get up early enough, i'm going to make myself go out for breakfast at a diner just up the street. I need to be around people, even if i don't know them. #1son spends his day at the university. #1daughter just got hired by a school system to substitute for teacher who is going to go on maternity leave for 12 weeks. I'm going to worry about her commute when the snow starts flying in earnest. Back to my favorite subject, myself; i'm isolated and need to get out, to hear other voices. This is the same thing i'm telling my mother, who spends all day laying on her bed instead of socializing.
