11 years since the horrific day when my mother and i flew down to Phoenix to visit my unconscious sister before my niece pulled the plug on her. Mom was never the same after that; months later she was walking around comatose herself. I remember walking across a parking lot one time with mom, she walked right into a curb and came down flat on her face - she was just out of it; of course she was retired and had nothing to do but think of her loss; while my brother and me and our families still had jobs and school and live's to lead. It was five years before was diagnosed but i believe mom's decent into Alzheimer's started with all that.

This June also marked the 50th anniversary of my dad's passing; another horror filled night that we never really recovered from.

Don't feel the need to comment, we all have our stories, our gut punches.

One of these days i'm going to find something positive to write about;

i promise.
