This is a short one:
Has anyone noticed how short chapters are becoming in new books? Or if a chapter is 10 pages, it is sub-divided by --- or **** or even an empty space. Seriously, i keep running into pre-inserted breaks every page or two. They are like going on vacation and you get to a location with a sign that says "Photo Spot" telling me THIS is where i need to take a picture, not over there. I'm not so prepared to say it's the modern readers short atttention span as the publishers belief in that so called fact. If anything leads to a short attention span, i think it's this and not the TV.
