Feathery blue green fronds of white pine needles. Push past and walk into another world.

Under a single small tree you enter into a different world. It's twilight, it's quiet; you're not exactly outside anymore.

Underneath, a bed of fragrant needles, above cathedral rafters, hints of sky.

What a lovely post!
On the family property when I was growing up, my dad had planted many different kinds of pine trees among them the white pines. I know exactly what you are saying about under the trees and entering into another world there. The white pines were always my favorite with their long soft needles.
