even poison ivy has autumn color

If it wasn't for the fact that poison ivy is highly toxic, it would be a treasured American wild flower. We have a mature vine of it going up a tree in my neighbor's uncleared backyard that has turned a brilliant fuschia red this week.
The maple tree in your first picture is an American Swamp Maple. The red leaf stems are the identifying factor. We have two of them and they are busily turning every shade of gorgeous right now.

Swamp Maple, i always wondered what that one was, i knew it was different than the sugar maple we used to have. Thanks!
