Went for a bike ride this (Sunday) morning. The weather was warm with the right touch of humidity, so that i could feel the warmth bathe my skin as i rode. There were many wild roses blooming, bright white, along the trail. The air thick with the perfume, which was intense; almost too much, fogging my head, making my eyes itch and my sinuses clog.
Saturday, i stepped outside and noticed part of the garden fence was down. The deer had broken down the fence and bit off all my newly planted tomatoes; i was furious; throwing things around! I picked up some new plants and any chance of coming out ahead on my tomato investment is gone. The fence has been re-enforced; though as always, if the deer want in, they will get in.
'harry and i went for a walk in the woods behind us and i think i was chased by a baby badger. It was small, gary, and kind of flat looking; hissing at me and then it charged me! I didn't know what it was but did some looking up, and the closest i came up with was a badger, but i'm still not sure. What i found is that we are on the very edge of the badgers natural habitat.
Farther back on Thursday, i had that other job interview. Two positions are open and i would take one of them, over my new job that i haven't started yet. The hours are later evening into night and i would really love to not have to wake up to the alarm clock anymore. Even though the pay is not as good, there are more hours and again; i don't like to get up in the morning.

Grr to the deer. My Bro hates them in Canada, too. We have the Scrubbies and you have the deer. I think the deer would be far more destructive. Gee, I do hope you get some tomatoes, eventually!
That badger incident sounds funny. It would be ridiculous to be chased and challenged by something much smaller than you are - when it is not poisonous, or anything :)
Ah, the job dilemma. I am not going to stick my head out and advise you there. But being woken up by an alarm is horrible. I guess you have to weigh up which job you will be happiest in, also I guess when it gets down to economics as well - which has the highest income - unless it tips you aver a tax threshold or something.

It hissed at me, while charging!
Thanks!

Boy, tough call on the job choices. How/when will you make your final decision?

Working evenings sounds great. The other place sounded good too! I can't believe you have wild roses-- I've only heard of them, never seen them. Like Laura Ingalls Wilder's "Month of Roses."
