Hey, ya'll, it's Thomas Alva Edison's birthplace!

Thomas Edison birthplace, 1841. Milan Ohio. August 1988.

Milan is a town of 1445 people according to Wikipedia; and about 50 miles west of Cleveland.

I was looking up the date of when the house was built and read that Edison's grandfather was almost executed during the American Revolution for being a loyalist. Imagine if he had been, i'm sure someone would have invented the phonograph and motion pictures along with perfecting the light bulb, but how events merge and one leads to another.

Interesting. I hadn't known about Edison's grandfather. I know there were a lot more loyalists than most people realize. My 3g-grandfather was a Revolutionary soldier, as was one of his brothers, but they had an older brother who was a Loyalist, who moved to Canada after the war.
