progress!!

i just posted this in [livejournal.com profile] genealogy

"Hi all!

How certain is the research posted on Rootsweb, All Surnames in Family Tree: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bethsfamily/html/surnames.html ?

I found someone's research taking a line in my family back another 100 years. I was able to connect through a marriage from the 1790's, that i have traced and I know are my ancestors, back to the later 1600's. The research looks accurate and I can link each generation; but I don't know where it came from or who did it, or who to thank if it's accurate."

1600's! It looks like solid research to me, but you can't take it as fact without some back ground. I never thought i'd get anywhere near this far back in time.

That's exciting that you may have traced it back that far - how to verify, I don't know. But, another lead!

That is so exciting. I hope you get the confirmation. 1600 is a LONG time ago. :)
